Conventional application of PREMISE results in the establishment
of a complete treated zone that is non-repellent to termites. The
continuous treated zone is established in large part by the good
initial movement of PREMISE following proper soil application in a
process called Lateral Soil Movement (LSM).
Not only is PREMISE Insecticide ideal for post-construction treat-
ment and control, it is equally effective in pre-construction termite
treatment situations with the added advantage of LSM.
In the PREMISE treated zone, both chemical and natural modes
of action take effect. Termites no longer feed, they become
disoriented and then succumb to the chemical mode of action at
moderate soil concentrations. At lower exposures, a second
mode of action, PREMISE Plus Nature, makes them vunerable
to infection by naturally occurring organisms. Either way,
structural protection is achieved
PREMISE contains an odorless active ingredient and no volatile solvents. As a result, PREMISE has no odor.
PREMISE has extremely low vapor pressure and as a result, air concentration rates during and after treatment are up to millions of times lower than the No Observable Effect Level (NOEL).
Based on the recommended dilution rate of 0.05%, PREMISE has a concentration rate 1.2 to 10 times lower than currently used pyrethroids and 10 to 40 times lower than available organophosphates out on the professional field market.
Increased concentrations of PREMISE can be foamed at low surfactant rates to treat hard-to-reach areas such as wall voids, filled porches, voids under slabs and above-ground carton nests. For example, one water-soluble packet of PREMISE 75 in just 2.5 gallons of water can be expanded tenfold to create 25 gallons of label dilution rate (0.05%) foam.
The unique, non-repellent modes of action of PREMISE allow
for control in different soil types and pHs, with different
methods and termite species.
